And The Winner Is... - December 2005
Our Minister has, for over 4 years, been trying to get on the Tom Morton show quiz on Radio Scotland. Up until now his brag has been that one of his wrong answers got a mention on the show. Now he has gone and won the thing! Will we ever hear the end of it?! I think not...
On Sunday we were all treated to a special viewing of the prestigious Tom Morton Show bag! And had our picture taken for the radio! The photo shoot...
O Korma Ye Faithful - December 2005
The past couple of years has seen an increase in young(er) people coming to the Church (when we say young, we mean 20-50 age group!) We decided that we really needed to do something socially together. These are the pictures from our first event - a curry night! This was held on Friday 2nd December in the church. 21 folk attended and all had a great time....watch out for details of a Quiz Night coming in February. Click here for pictures...

Cinderella Christmas Panto - November 2005
After the HUGE(!) success of our last two productions, Dick Whittington and Babes in the Wood, our pantomime made a return again this year with Cinderella! We did a total of five performances, which were all well attended. The audience and cast alike all seemed to have a great time. Thanks to all who came and supported us....right, who's up for Aladdin next year then?! Please take a look at our Picture gallery... M. Chatham, Webmaster

Christmas Coffee Morning - November 2005
On Saturday 19th November the church held its annual Christmas Coffee Morning. We had the usual stalls: bric-a-brac, books, home baking, jewellery, tombola, lucky-dip, Christmas gifts, Christmas cards as well as our Christmas cake, raffle and treasure map. A great big thanks to all who braved the 'cold' weather and came and supported us - you helped us raise £841.00. Thank you.

Two Guitars and a Tale to Tell - September 2005
Our minister, Alan Gibbon along with Eddie Tomlinson and a few of our young people put on an excellent concert on Saturday 17th September for church funds. They performed an evening of new, old and traditional music. The feedback has been very positive and Alan assured us that this won't be the last we hear of the new group. Thanks to everyone who came along and supported them - the amount raised was £246.00. Full band merchandise will be available soon! Now there's a thought!

Holiday Club - July 2005Landlubbers logo
This year we ran another Holiday Club in July called 'Landlubbers'. We had the usual fun, games and crafts along with a very catchy 'Landlubbers Song'. We had, on average, just under 40 children attend each day, so thanks to those who encouraged children to attend. Pictures from the Holiday Club will be available on the site soon.
Global Missions Project - July 2005Cross Culture Concerts logo
We were involved in a week of outreach and mission in June along with five other local Churches (Knightswood Baptist; Knightswood United Free, Yoker Evangelical, Drumchapel Baptist, Drumchapel United Free).
Together they played host to a choir and orchestra of some 74 people from 10 different states in America. During the week they took part in six church services; led a joint songs of praise; performed two concerts in local churches; played a special night for children and youth; played open air at a shopping centre twice. MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY Wrapping - July 2005Make Poverty History White Band
To coincide with World White Band Day on Friday 1st July, the young people of KCC have wrapped the church in a White Band - the symbol of the MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY campaign. They have been working on the words "Make Poverty History" for the past few weeks in order that they are ready for 1st July. A huge thanks to them for all their time and effort. The Congregational Federation in Scotland have a gallery of our 'MPH Church' for you to take a look at.
Many of our young people also attended the MPH Rally in Edinburgh on 2nd July, so look out for a report and some pictures from the day coming soon! M. Chatham, Webmaster
MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY Rally - July 2005
A group of young people from the church went along and checked out the MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY Rally in Edinburgh on 2nd July. All wearing white, they left the church at 8am, travelling to Edinburgh by mini-bus. They helped make up some 225,000 people who turned out to tell world leaders enough is enough and to make poverty history in 2005. For many, it was their first time at an event of this size, and it's definitely one which they'll remember for a long time to come. We've asked them to write a report of the day which you can read here. M. Chatham, Webmaster
A Changing Room - June 2005
A few months ago we stood around scratching our heads wondering how to begin the refurbishment on Room 2 at Knightswood Congregational Church. The ideal situation would be to turn the room into a room which could be multi functional. To be used as a meeting room, an office space and computer room for the young people of the Church. Full story...
