ITS A GOOD TIME OF YEAR FOR A NATIVITY!!!!
So said the counciller at a school show last night. Talk about a daft thing to say! What other time of year would you have a nativity!!!! I can't go for all the PC buisness as I have already said, but I don't like how Christmas has been hijacked by the commercialism....Keep Christmas for Jesus not for shops. Sounds like a campaign slogan......Anyone want to sign up?
It's a good time of year for many things, especially telling people about the Gospel. I keep getting told how busy I must be at this time of year. Like Ministers do nothing all year round (maybe you think we do that anyway). Truth is, people think more about Churches at this time of year. Which is good! Because we hope they will think about Jesus also.
Its our job to make him relevant.......
Last year I started reading the diary of 'Grumpy Old Men' and I could identify with so much of it.....a bit scary.
I am glad to say that this year I am really enjoying the run up to Christmas (bar the stress of presents!). Have even got a real Christmas tree for the first time in my life.
Anyway, busy week ahead, lots to do, places to go, people to see. Makes me sound busy doesn't it!!
