DANCING ROUND THE LIVING ROOM

Just finished a wee dance around the living room. Isn't it funny when you are in a party mood. It must be the holiday season. That is why there has not been an entry for a while. Just back from holiday on sunny, yes sunny, no I really mean it, sunny Arran. A week of glorious sunshine, sometimes even too hot to walk! It is nice to come back feeling relaxed and refreshed. Here is to the next holiday. But you come back feeling you have had a proper rest and relaxation, you are more able to pick up life again with zeal.

Arran is a wonderful place and when you are with the right people it makes it paradise. Here are a couple of pictures so you can see what it was like...

PRAt MOBILE

On Arran I managed to find a replacement for the PRAt mobile and you can see me taking it for a test-drive below. It was a vehicle with the class I am used to.

THE THINGS PEOPLE SAY

Weird and wonderful sayings keep coming in such as "This will be our first new pair of boots since the last pair" and "Do you think if the week had gone slower we would still be there?". As I say these people will remain nameless but I hope their comments bring you happiness.

PROTEST

Just finished watching the news with a lump in my throat watching children in hospital beds in Beruit. Anyone know where we can protest.

PRAt Mobile on tour.....(Part1)

My car is the subject of much debate and laughter, well, it ain't all bad. This week it managed the trip from Glasgow to Nottingham. 584 miles. Without collapsing in a heap!!!!! I have the pics to prove it (see below...) More tours coming soon.

Oh, by the way, it was going there because myself and Pam were attending a two day workshop on 'Fresh Expressions of Church.' A lot more to be heard of that. While there at the evening meal there was one of the sweets on offer that caused a lot of hilarity. The chocolate mouse arrived in...a....well.....odd shape! It had an odd resembalance to it! As a picture will testify. Malcolm Muir a good friend from Eyemouth had real difficulty eating it!!!!!! I will leave the rest to your imagination!

Heating

The new heating system is looking kinda finished! OOhhhhh I am all excited.....bring on the winter! The Chuckle Brothers (aka James and Jimmy), along with Robert, Harry Neil and others have done a tremendous job of the place. Well done guys!!

Partick Thistle (FC)

I mentioned the opening gave of Division 1 in a previous post, and low and belold someone has dragged up some meaningless peice of history. They must be a bookie or something to remember it! Anyway, let the game commence and may the best dark blues win, thats if Firhill has not been turned into houses first!

Silly Sayings

The latest silly sayings are hot off the press..........'Have you got a bird about books?' and...the only part of being outdoors was being outside.' You couldn't make it up could you!

This year has travelled along far too quickly, July already and all too soon, way too soon its now Holiday Club, and we are as well prepared as usual!!! Never mind, holiday soon afterwards.

I bet you are all wondering about the latest goings on with the Prat mobile. I know you are really. Well, it may be taking a trip to Nottingham....no seriously, it may well be.......OK so I will post some photographic proof!!

I watched the first match of the World Cup on Saturday.. Myself and Pam were up in Oban visiting her Dad and we sat down to watch the England v Portugal match. It was actually quite good. I enjoyed it more than I thought!!!!! Ah well, soon be time for the big kick off. Dundee v Partick Thistle.....now there is a game to savour.

Anyway, keep a posting just to let me know someone is reading this....anyone, and if its you Alan, drop me your email address!
