WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
As a church prepares a self inflicted wound. I despair when I see people holding placards like this in Edinburgh http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/north_east/8064428.stm
Where is the Gospel in this?

People who behave like that make me sick!
How anybody can possibly feel like they are better than anybody else is frankly beyond me.
What Rev. Scott Rennie said about being gay not being a lifestyle choice is key here. It is not something that people can turn on and off - and the fact that some incredibly ignorant, self-righteous people actually think this is beyond me.
The Zion Baptist Church are doing the Gospel a total dis-service in my opinion. They go from event to event, from group to group wielding their placards in the faces of whom they think are 'wrong'. What do they think this is going to achieve? Is this showing God's love to the fullest? Is this going to make people turn to the Church or God? Of course it's not! It's going to make them run in the completely opposite direction.
People aren't turing away from God these days. They are turning away from the Church. And with the whole gay furore and the actions of the Zion Baptists and the likes, is it really any wonder?!
