SPEECHLESS
I came home last night to catch a bit on the TV of 3rd rate celbs in the jungle being sick because they are trying to eat some bugs and kangaroo body parts for 'entertainment' sake.
Does anyone else find this repulsive TV???
Is this really what we are reduced to? Watching people crying because they find life in the jungle "so hard"????????
Meanwhile....children of the world are rummaging through rubbish tips

As I said speechless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems you weren't the only one riled by this Alan, because this was the front page of the Metro today.
The article read: "In Britain, viewers are being entertained by the sight of C-listers eating grubs to win meals on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.
"In Zimbabwe, eating bugs is no laughing matter. There, the poor are having to scavenge for insects or poisoned plants after a collapse in food supplies left millions starving."
It went on to give some stark statistics about the country's economy:
- The ANNUAL salary in Zimbabwe is Z$10million (£400)
- A loaf of bread in Zimbabwe costs Z$400,000 (£20)
- Zimbabwe's inflation rate is at 250,000,000% (yes, 250million percent.....ours is up to 5% and we think we've got it tough).
And to put it into context:
- I'm A Celebrity contestant Dani Begr is reported to have been paid £40,000 to appear
and;
- Martina Navratilova's career earnings total £14million - it would take a Zimbabwean 35,000 years to earn the same.
It really does hit home the extent of the problems faced by many, not just in Zimbabwe each and every day. Every day that passes is a struggle for survival.
I'm glad the problems are now back in the headlines and maybe more will fine it in their conscience to act.
